Yesterday I had a real estate photography session in downtown Toronto. It was a condo in loft style, which I’ve never done before. The color of the walls just caused a challenging situation during post-production, but finally solved!
The sudden brutal storm did not let me to have flattering exterior shots but I had something reasonable.

Last week I had a photo shoot from one of those 100 years houses in downtown Toronto. It was renovated in a modern way and was 100% ready to move.

We had a real estate photo shoot yesterday in Woodbridge.
As a matter of fact, Woodbridge is out of our coverage area but recently we start to do “out of coverage area”.
To make a long story short, it was clean and neat house. We always prefer to shoot such house rather than those are full of mess and you need to remind the owner and agent about all the things are not in the right place!
One other thing is really enjoyable during the shoot is that the realtor is physically there. There are some benefits if they show up. They can give an instruction about the shots they like; this will help you to save lots of times. Besides, really like to chat with them and know about the real estate market, their predictions and more.
A new thing that really helped this time was using “High-speed Sync function” of my flash, which I would never think that’s going to help me during a real estate photo shoot. This helped me to get proper exposure.

Couple of days ago, I had a real estate photo shoot in Ajax on a fogy day and to be honest I had no idea to how to dealt with that amount of fog!! But like always, a photographer should be creative and add some improvise to his workflow, like what I did. Here is what I did: I just increase my ISO in order to avoid long exposures and shoot with wider aperture. It is something that I always avoid but in some cases you do not have any other alternative.
What I did more was touching the pictures more in post-production and the so-called Photoshop! I simply increase the contrast but by level adjustment, that helped me to eliminate some of the fog.
At the end I just fill a layer with yellow color, change the blend mode to color in order to get the filling of the sun and do some composite in order to add some cloud to the scene.
I can not say I am 100% satisfy by the out come, but I guess is thousand times better than the raw shots!
